Health and Safety Advisor - Distribution Centre (12-Month Maternity Cover)

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our Distribution Centre team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.

This is a hands-on opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving a strong safety culture and ensuring the wellbeing of our workforce.

Reporting directly to the National Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, with a dotted line to the National Distribution Centre Manager, you'll work closely with operational teams to lead and continuously improve our health and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Champion a culture of safety across the Distribution Centre.

Develop, deliver, and maintain effective Health & Safety processes.

Provide expert advice and leadership on all Health & Safety matters.

Ensure high standards of Health & Safety documentation and administration.

Facilitate and deliver engaging Health & Safety training sessions.

Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Safety Management standards.

Provide accurate and timely reporting to management.

Lead incident investigations and risk assessments.

Coordinate injury management and return-to-work programmes.

What You'll Bring

Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety advisory role.

Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and regulations.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven ability to lead and influence across teams.

Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Well-developed planning and organisational skills.

Experience in warehouse, FMCG, or operational environments is highly desirable.
