Massage Therapists

We are a massage and spa centre in Eastern Auckland. We are now planning to open a new store which is under renovation, and we need to hire 5 massage therapists.

Your main responsibilities include

massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing

utilising a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury

administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension

assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice

employing other techniques, such as acupressure or Shiatsu, and complementary aids, such as infra-red lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies, to assist recovery

assessing client's physical condition and case history and advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques

To be successful in this role, you must have

NZQF Level 4 or higher qualification in massage or relevant health fields, or at least two years’ relevant work experience

Good communication skills to understand customers’ needs

Sound knowledge and practical skills in body massage

can work on weekends when necessary and be resilient and conscientious as we open 7 days a week.

No drug using history and can pass a pre-employment drug check

Clean police record

Be able to work in late hours

Hourly rate : $28 to $36 per hour

Hours : 40 hours per week (Minimum 30 hours guaranteed).
