We’re looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Aged Care team in Auckland.

About the Role

Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.

This role is part-time with around 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm.

What You’ll Do

  • Mobility and Transfer Assessments : Carrying out assessments for new residents in both Hospital-Level Care and Rest Home units.
  • Collaboration with the Physiotherapy Assistant : Work closely with the Physiotherapy Assistant, offering guidance on how they can provide ongoing support and regular input to residents in line with the mobility and maintenance goals.
  • Ongoing Support for Hospital-Level Residents : Closely monitor the mobility needs of each resident admitted under Hospital-Level Care, help maintain their functional abilities, and recommend updates to care plans when needed.
  • Manual Handling Training : Delivery of training sessions to care and auxiliary staff, as requested by the facility, to ensure safe and effective manual handling practices.

  • Proven ability to deliver client-centered rehabilitation in community settings
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and stakeholders
  • At least 2 years’ clinical experience – manual handling experience is desirable.
