About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
This is more than a job – it’s a chance to be part of a kaupapa that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi and empowers iwi and Māori to lead their own education solutions. As a Senior Adviser in Te Ranga Taunaki, you’ll bring your mātauranga Māori, design expertise, and deep commitment to equity to co-create services that reflect the aspirations of our people.
You’ll work alongside a passionate, supportive team within Te Pae Aronui – a group of like-minded individuals who share your drive to uplift Māori learners and whānau. Together, you’ll support Māori-led initiatives, build frameworks for authentic Tiriti-based partnerships, and help shape a system that truly serves ākonga Māori.
This role is ideal for someone who is grounded in te ao Māori, thrives in collaborative spaces, and is ready to make a lasting impact for ākonga Māori.
Salary range : $85,225 - $103,071 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

We are a group dedicated to designing education solutions that give effect to Te Tiriti from the outset. We work with iwi and Māori to co-create and lead their own pathways, using kaupapa Māori methodologies to shape the future of education in Aotearoa.
