About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance The ASM is an alliance between Fulton Hogan, HEB Construction and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network.
The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system.

The Opportunity We have an excellent opportunity for a Tunnel Project Engineer to join our Transport Technology and Tunnels team.
As Project Engineer, you will supervise and support the successful delivery of maintenance works for Johnstone Hill, Victoria Park, and Waterview Tunnels.
You will effectively manage key assets on the Auckland motorway network that are required to operate 24 hours a day and ensure the uninterrupted provision of Tunnel services.
What you will be doing : This is a varied role where you will be required to perform site-based hands-on work, as well as office-based planning and coordination work, with the goal of supporting the effective delivery of all cyclic and reactive maintenance for the tunnels.
You will also : Ensuring the completion of maintenance as prescribed in the codes of maintenance standards, and faults are fixed with the level of service.
Document work completed using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
Supervise onsite technicians and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to quality standards and that asset information is accurately reported.
Support procurement of services and materials, manage stock, and manage asset records.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, ensuring overall compliance.
Address deficiencies, implement correction actions, review operating procedures, and lead critical risk conversations.
Oversee work order management and report on progress.
Above all, you will provide unwavering support to the team, prioritising safety and quality delivery.
About You : Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and skills : Diploma or degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics, telecommunications, computer systems, networking, or relevant experience.
Proven experience as a site-based engineer.
Experience in electronics, electrical systems, ITS, security systems or CCTV systems Experience with complex digital systems, ITS, systems networks or PLC Demonstrated leadership skills in previous Supervisor or Team Leader roles Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Above all, you will embody our values in everything you do and demonstrate commitment to the safety of your teammates.
