About the Position
Incumbent will work as the Engineering & Construction Chief, advising the District senior leadership on Engineering &Construction program issues that impact the region and the USACE enterprise.

Duties
- Serve as a corporate leader within the District, Region, and USACE, ensuring clear communication, comprehensive risk management, and strategic decision-making.
- Provide effective management and supervisory control over the execution of Military and Civil Works programs, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and policies.
- Control project funds in accordance with the Project Management Plan (PMP) and provide supervision, leadership, and guidance to subordinate staff throughout the project delivery process.
- Act as an authoritative source for decisions and guidance related to program and project objectives, ensuring proper execution of plans.
- Establish strong partnerships with all stakeholders to ensure collaborative, sustainable alliances.
- Develop leadership talent through coaching, mentoring, and guiding others to reach their full potential.
- Oversee the development and submission of Military and Civil Works programs and budget data for USACE proposals and adjustments.
- Serve as the technical authority on engineering and construction matters related to the projects, including coordination and oversight of major infrastructure programs.
- Ensure that quality control and assurance procedures are effectively implemented across all projects, including audits and performance evaluations.
Requirements
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.Position requires submission of Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry and annually thereafter.The position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.Must possess a valid state driver's license.#J-18808-Ljbffr
