  • My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team. As a leading accounting firm in Christchurch, they provide comprehensive financial solutions to businesses of all sizes. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and helping their clients achieve their financial goals.

    Responsibilities :

    • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing them with expert financial advice and support
    • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other related reports in compliance with local regulations
    • Conduct thorough analysis and review of financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
    • Assist clients in developing and implementing effective accounting systems and processes
    • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support in their professional development
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial information and business operations
    • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring adherence to best practices
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and loyalty
    • Requirements :

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance in NZ; CPA or CA qualification is preferred
    • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
    • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members
    • Leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and mentoring a team
    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
