Full time, Fixed term, Start Date : 27 / 01 / 2026, End Date : 16 / 12 / 2025 (Special staffing)

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher Mathematics and statistics PTSA

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to lead and deliver our Structured Maths and Pāngarau Support Programme for Y3–6 students.

The successful applicant will :

  • be a confident and knowledgeable maths practitioner with strong curriculum understanding
  • design and deliver high-quality structured maths programmes that respond to students’ needs and build mathematical fluency and reasoning
  • work collaboratively with classroom teachers to strengthen consistent, evidence-based practices in mathematics
  • support targeted students through a range of approaches that build confidence, engagement, and success
  • bring cultural responsiveness and inclusive practice to all aspects of their teaching
  • model effective teaching strategies aligned with the refreshed Aotearoa New Zealand Mathematics and Pāngarau learning area

This is a fixed-term position beginning term 1 – 0.8 FTTE for 2026. For someone that wants full-time work we may be able to offer the extra 0.2 for other needs around the school including classroom release.
