We're looking for an experienced EHS Advisor to join our team and play a pivotal role in the delivery of a Wind Farm project in Hawera.
This is a full time, fixed term opportunity till March

About The Role
As our EHS Advisor, you'll be instrumental in embedding a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards across the project.
Reporting to the EHSQ Manager, you'll provide expert guidance, coach teams on best practices, and lead by example in the field.
Provide high-level professional advice to front-line leaders and the workforce to promote a safety culture.
Coach crews on best practice safety and help them ensure all risks are appropriately managed in the workplace.
Review and provide feedback on implemented site EHS plans with team leaders.
Lead by example, implementing Higgins practices and values.
Conduct comprehensive accident / incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders and keep up to date with industry trends.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Proven experience in an EHS advisory role on large-scale projects, ideally within renewable energy or civil construction
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health & Safety
Strong knowledge of NZ legislation including HSE, ACC, HSNO, and industry standards
Experience conducting thorough incident investigations and implementing effective solutions
Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
A proactive, self-driven approach with the confidence to work autonomously on site
