Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacher.English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.Responsible to : Syndicate Leader / Deputy PrincipalKey responsibilitiesDeliver engaging biology and general science teaching across Y9–13.Prepare students for NCEA assessment in biology.Encourage scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning.Act as a whanau / Pastoral Teacher, monitoring and supporting students' wellbeing and learning pathways.Participate in science-related extracurricular activities and events.Key tasksTeach core science at junior levels and biology at senior levels.Develop practical laboratory sessions ensuring safe practice at all times.Assess student progress and report accurately to parents and whanau.Incorporate current scientific developments into classroom teaching.Support students in science fairs, competitions, and field trips.Foster strong relationships with whanau and provide pastoral support for a designated group of students.Other subjects an advantage.Start term 1, 2026.We can only accept applications from candidates who have the right to work in New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate from the Teaching Council NZ.How to applyPlease send your CV, and direct enquiries to : We are not providing additional listings in this posting.
