About the Role : EPL Group (Elastomer Products) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the smooth operation at their manufacturing facility in Christchurch.

This hands-on role involves maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of mechanical equipment associated with the manufacturing process.

You'll be part of a team that prides itself on precision, safety, and collaboration.

Permanent Position

Steady weekday hours : Mon–Fri, 40 hours / week (some OT available)

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on extrusion machinery

Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and fabrication-related issues

Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently

Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Maintain accurate records, computer literacy

Skills & Abilities

Strong mechanical aptitude

Good interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written

Organized, tidy, and self-motivated

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment

Qualifications & Experience

Trade Certificate or NZQA Level 4 (or equivalent)

Hands-on experience with workshop machinery

General fabrication, MIG and TIG welding skills

Pneumatic system experience preferred

CNC, manual milling and turning an advantage
