The role includes conducting inspection and monitoring activity on site at certificated and non-certificated aerodromes and the associated operational environment.
The Technical Specialist will report to the Team Leader Aeronautical Services and work collaboratively within a small team of aviation specialists to influence positive aviation safety outcomes, engaging with domestic and international aviation participants as appropriate to ensure safety and regulatory capability is maintained.
Currently, the team is responsible for the safety and regulatory oversight of the main aviation technology, aerodrome and airspace infrastructure elements supporting the wider aviation system.What You'll BringProven knowledge of Aeronautical Telecommunications, Air Navigation or Air Traffic Management Systems.Knowledge in aviation risk assessment.Preferably with experience in monitoring, inspection and certification activities.Sound written and oral communication skillsHold or has held a professional aviation license or qualification (e.g., Engineering, Air Traffic Control or equivalent qualification or experience).
Experience in leading and / or facilitating meetings and workshops.Ability to demonstrate good judgement and sound decision making with integrity and objectivity.The ability to build professional and technical credibility within the CAA, industry, relevant government departments and international organisations.SalaryThe salary band for this position is circa $141,751.
