About The Role

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind within the Waikato Region, securing new business and supporting franchise partners to deliver exceptional service. This role balances strategic sales with hands-on client engagement, requiring someone commercially astute, energetic, and passionate about establishing long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors
  • Conduct client site visits, understand cleaning needs, and develop tailored proposals
  • Prepare competitive proposals and lead contract negotiations to secure profitable, sustainable business
  • Manage tenders and RFP submissions to a high standard, ensuring compliance and service clarity
  • Partner with franchisees to support growth, quality delivery, and health & safety standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and regional managers to share insights and drive performance

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives on growth, collaboration, and results :

  • Demonstrated experience in Business Development with a strong track record of delivering results
  • Proven ability to secure new business, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue growth
  • Strong commercial acumen, ideally within facilities services, commercial cleaning, or related services industries
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
  • High-level interpersonal skills with the adaptability to tailor sales style and approach to different personalities and levels
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and thriving in fast-paced environments
