Gardener

We are SHIV BABA LIMITED T / A JIMS MOWING, a lawn mowing company operating in Auckland.

The majority of our sites are within Auckland, covering commercial and residential areas.

We are seeking one energetic lawnmower or Gardener to join our company.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a Minimum of 30 hours a week and can be extended during busy Periods.

The suitable candidate will be offered a pay rate of $27 to $30 per hour.

Job Duties you will perform :

Prepare garden sites and plots using hand tools and machines

Packaged & transported green waste to the refuse centre after completing the task

cleaning sites and removing green waste

loading, unloading, and moving garden supplies and equipment

Assists in cultivating and maintaining gardens

Mowing lawns, weeding gardens, and keeping green spaces and walkways clear

Complete the task of lawn mowing as instructed by the client

Complete the task accurately within the given timeline

Conduct feedback from the client upon completing the task and ensure customer Satisfaction.

Preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil and planting grass, and by laying instant turf

maintaining planted and grassed areas by weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering and mowing

Maintain lawnmowing equipment, including lawn mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers,& chainsaws

Always follow Health and safety regulations

Pruning shrubs & small bushes based on climate

spraying plants & weeds, and trees to control insects and disease

Small tree removal & stump grinding

What we expect from you :

Be physically fit - heavy lifting (25kgs) will be involved.

A Valid International / New Zealand Driving License is required to drive a company car in New Zealand to travel between sites.

Must be able to drive the company's Manual Car.

Must not have any serious driving convictions.

2- 3 Years of relevant work experience as a Gardener OR a NZQF level 4 Qualification can substitute for the work Experience requirement, as detailed training will be provided.

Not afraid of a little sun, wind or rain!

(PPE provided).

No experience is necessary - all training can be given.

Honest and Reliable & a good team player.

Must be drug-free.

We have regular drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment tests.

Able to start early morning & finish late evening in busy periods.

Able to work on weekends and public holidays, as many of our clients prefer.

Able to communicate with customers.
