Learning Assistant, Full-time, Fixed Term

Three Kings Primary School – Auckland, North Island

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and energetic Learning Assistant to provide 1 : 1 support for a delightful and lively (soon to be) 6-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and additional learning needs. This role is based within a mainstream classroom, working alongside dedicated teachers and supported by a range of outside specialists and agencies.

The successful applicant will :

• Support the student to engage with and access the classroom curriculum alongside his peers.
• Work closely with the classroom teacher to provide curriculum differentiation and scaffolded learning opportunities.
• Assist with mobility, personal care, and communication as required.
• Foster independence, confidence, and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
• Liaise with external specialists and follow through on therapy and learning plans.

This is a fixed-term, term-time only position linked to student funding. Hours are 8.30am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday.
