About the Role :

As a leader in the medical and healthcare equipment field, they have developed trusted partnerships across multiple markets, including Public and Private Hospitals, Aged Care and Community Care.
A position is now available for an experienced, skilled Biomedical Technician, who will be responsible for undertaking on-site service, repairs, maintenance and calibration of medical equipment in hospitals and healthcare environments - including electrical and mechanical servicing. To be successful, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years industry experience, excellent time management and problem‑solving ability. Whilst this position is Wellington based, you will also be covering the Lower North Island and Top of the South Island also.

Service and maintain a wide range of Medical equipment including; chairs, beds, trolleys, operating tables, surgical light & pendants, warmers and integrated modular theatre systems.Test & tag of equipment to compliance & regulatory standardsRecord and report equipment which is considered to be unsafeComplete service / repair records, accurately documenting & reporting findingsAttend & participate in weekly team meetingsEnsure adherence to health and safety standardsBe available to travel as required, including overnight staysSkills and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical / biomedical engineering, highly desirable5+ years' experience in a general service technician role with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a biomedical technician roleNZ Electrical Registration with EWRBExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliar with CRM Systems and a working knowledge of MS OfficeAbility to work autonomously with pro‑active problem‑solving skillsStrong listening and presentation skillsStrong knowledge of Workplace Health & SafetyAbility to pass a Police and Drug & Alcohol CheckCurrent, clean drivers licenceMUST have full NZ working rights.
