We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Orderly to join our dynamic team in Whanganui.

This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, keen, reliable, and have a flair for communication and customer service.

This is a casual role with multiple shift patterns and hours on offer including weekends.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safe and effective transport of patients and equipment throughout the facility, delivering supplies and equipment to appropriate areas

Undertake duties that require heavy lifting, including manual handling and transferring of patients, as well as moving beds, trolleys, and medical equipment

Replenish medical and non-medical supplies to ensure all departments are adequately stocked

Perform regular checks and basic housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment

Accurately complete and maintain records

Exhibit excellent communication skills to provide top-tier customer service

Maintain smooth and efficient operations in a bustling healthcare setting by proactively identifying and addressing potential workflow disruptions

Qualifications

Previous experience in healthcare is preferred but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided

Physically capable of performing demanding tasks efficiently and safely

Demonstrate a consistent, dependable work ethic

Possess top-notch time management skills to efficiently handle duties and responsibilities

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Abide by strict confidentiality and privacy requirements

Follow and comply with all health and safety policies and processes
