Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and reflective teacher to join our wonderful team of teachers. Ability to work both collaboratively and cooperatively with staff and whānau is paramount. You will need to have proven strength in literacy and numeracy, experience in a structured literacy approach, use of restorative practices and build strong relationships with students. The teaching year level will be negotiable with the successful applicant.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate

• Dedication to the wellbeing of our students and an understanding of trauma informed practice may be an advantage.
• Knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and effective teaching practice.
• Classroom leadership with the ability to convert our school vision into successful practice.
• Dedication to high levels of student achievement and the ability to inspire , empower and lead our ākonga in developing agency.
• Ability to build strong and effective learning relationships with students, staff and whānau.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
