- Payroll Analyst – two positions MidCentral and Whanganui Districts

About the RoleThe successful applicant will provide health workforce related analysis, providing reports, in-depth analysis, and interpretation of the information for strategic planning, benchmarking, process improvement, contract reporting and utilisation review.About the Team / Service / LocationThe payroll teams are located in each district however there is the opportunity to work from where you are located so may be employed form outside the district.The team is part of the National Payroll Service.
About the YouA demonstrated high level of understanding of Information Technology systems, practices, and procedures.Hands-on experience working with large-scale payroll and HR databases, including experience installing, testing, and releasing upgrades and generally maintaining the database, implementing developments / improvements etc.Experience with or understanding of data security systems and processes.Experience in extracting data and configuring report structures using reporting tools.Proven abilities / experience in systems analysis and design Strong proficiency of Excel (including pivot tables and formulas), SQL and / or other relevant data-extraction and data analysis and reporting tools.Highly advanced knowledge of database structure design.Exceptional analytical skills in working with large data sets.Excellent numeracy and analytical skills are required.
Experience working as an analyst or in a reporting role.Proven experience in problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.Customer focus, team player, flexibility, good self-management, ability to deal with detail and see the big picture.
Capable of presenting to medium sized groups.
