Formwork Carpenter

Build and install precision formwork and reinforcement for reinforced concrete structures across Southland and beyond

Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week

We are seeking Formwork Carpenters to join their growing team to work on exciting projects across Southland and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and analyse construction drawings and specifications for formwork and reinforcement.

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber or metal formwork to required specifications.

Erect and dismantle formwork and shuttering for concrete pours in compliance with safety standards.

Install and tie reinforcing steel (rebar) for slabs, beams, columns, and walls.

Work at heights while following all safety protocols.

Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to high safety and cleanliness standards.

Required Skills

At least three years of relevant experience in reinforced concrete structure fixing or carpentry in commercial or civil construction.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.

Experience with carpentry and steel fixing tools.

Experience with Telehandler / Forklift, Cranes, Scissor lifts, Boom Lifts.

Strong understanding of concrete formwork systems and reinforcement methods.

Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg regularly.
