Shape the future of engineering in Aotearoa! Join Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau as we launch BRiDGE—a new, high-impact programme strengthening resilience and design guidance in the construction sector.

We’re hiring for two pivotal roles :

Programme Manager (0.7–0.8 FTE) : Be at the heart of programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational delivery.

Deputy Director (0.7–0.8 FTE) : Provide strategic leadership, drive technical assurance, and help shape the programme’s direction.

BRiDGE is a partnership between key government agencies, the engineering sector, and research organisations, hosted by Engineering New Zealand. We deliver projects that improve design guidance and strengthen resilience, including supporting Building Code documents.

About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

Programme Manager : Coordinate administration, meetings, budgets, contracts, and reporting. Ensure smooth delivery and clear communication across teams.

Deputy Director : Lead stakeholder engagement, oversee procurement and technical assurance, support governance, and help establish systems and culture.

Who we're looking for | Tā mātou e kimi nei

Programme Manager : Organised, collaborative, with experience in programme / project coordination and budgeting. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field.

Deputy Director : Experienced leader (15+ years), strategic thinker, relationship builder, with a postgraduate qualification in Structural, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (or related field).
