Quarry Supervisor

Are you an experienced Quarryman looking for a chance to lead or an experienced Supervisor ready for their next opportunity? My client based in Queenstown is looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join their growing team.

In this role you'll be working closely with the Quarry General Manager to run daily operations, machinery, staff and administration. With a mix of 70 / 30 on the tools and in the office, the right candidate will be able to demonstrate their abilities on Excavators and Loaders along with maintaining their equipment to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For :

• Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in quarrying or a similar industry
• Familiarity with crushing and / or screening plants
• Knowledge of health & safety, risk management systems, and quarry product specifications
• A strong leader who can motivate a small team to work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively
• Commitment to maintaining a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with procedures
• A proactive approach to improving production processes and material quality
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead by example, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
• Experience managing labour hours and controlling costs
• Current W, T, R licences
• A Grade Quarry Manager Certificate (or working towards it)
