OverviewWe are searching for an innovative, motivated, high-performing Business Development Manager to lead Halter's growth in the Canterbury region.

This is an opportunity to be part of a positive global disruption to our food production system, to pioneer groundbreaking change and, specifically, impact the lives of Dairy farmers.

This role has the scope to truly change an industry, build a world-class sales function and will be backed by a world-class team to implement growth strategies.

These don't come around often.

This role must be located in the Canterbury region.

Frequent travel is required as part of the position.ResponsibilitiesLead Canterbury's growth into the Dairy sector for Halter by driving sales and leading a high-performing team of 5 Business Development Executives.Work closely with marketing and growth teams to create and execute go-to-market strategies.Strategic Sales Leadership : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Halter's expansion goals.

Lead and grow a high-performing sales team, providing direction, training and management to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Include building / refining performance management and incentive schemes, and collaborating with Revenue Operations as required.Revenue Forecasting and Reporting : Collaborate with revenue leaders to develop accurate monthly and quarterly revenue reporting; provide data-driven reports on pipeline and sales performance.Growth Initiatives : Identify and implement innovative growth initiatives to enhance market penetration and accelerate sales cycles.Account Management : End-to-end ownership over the life cycle of Dairy farms in Canterbury.Drive customer value by ensuring farmers extract full value from Halter to achieve their goals.Revenue Retention & Expansion : Own retention, renewals and expansion targets for Halter's existing revenue with Dairy farms in Canterbury.Training and Development : Act as a training and enablement subject matter expert for Halter; drive continuous skill enhancement and foster knowledge sharing.People Management : Lead and develop a motivated, high-performing team with clear expectations and regular feedback.Growing New Business : Manage region, own pipeline through to close, including prospecting and a consultative sales process; negotiate contracts.

Target to reflect leadership responsibilities.QualificationsExperience in leading and growing sales teams, owning the revenue engine from lead generation to customer success.Innovative leader with a track record of executing new solutions to deliver substantial revenue goals by overcoming challenges.Experience in successfully executing a consultative sales process.A data-driven leader who understands pipeline activity and customer touchpoints.Experience within the agricultural sector is a big bonus; passion for Dairy farming is a must-have.A strong attitude and a team player with the ability to overcome challenges.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.About HalterAt Halter, we're on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations.
