About the Opportunity

Welch LLP is currently looking for a Administrative Assistant for our Picton office . Picton is part of the Welch LLP – Quinte Region practice. As an Administrative Assistant within the Picton office, you will take a hands-on role in all aspects of administration. You will work closely with all members of the team including senior staff accountants, partners and external clients. You will deliver outstanding customer service and provide an experience that delights our customers. You will have an opportunity to work in an environment that builds on the strengths of every employee and promotes their professional and personal development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reception back-up – The Receptionist is the first point of contact for our clients
  • Greeting clients at the main desk or over the phone and answering questions
  • Administration
  • Handle daily mail and couriers
  • Receiving, tracking, distributing and compiling tax return
  • Process client payments of cash, cheque or POS
  • Printing, emailing, faxing, filing and updating/maintaining detailed tracking lists
  • Respond accurately and timely to partner, staff and outside requests
  • Call clients to let them know their returns, etc. are ready for pickup
  • Compilation of financial statements, corporate tax returns and other tax filings
  • Administrative archiving projects
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience as a receptionist or office manager
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with numbers; demonstrates accuracy
  • Ability to follow directions, instructions/procedures efficiently and accurately
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Strong teaming skills
  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience would be an asset
