• About the Role
• Join our clinical pharmacy team in a rotational role that offers hands-on experience across a variety of services within a tertiary facility renowned for high-quality care in specialties such as medical, surgical, mental health, cardiology, renal, critical care, paediatrics, and more. You'll rotate through all areas of our pharmacy service, including clinical and ward work, the haematology, oncology, and compounding teams, as well as the quality and safe use of medicines team, and both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings, providing a comprehensive learning environment. This role includes occasional weekend shifts compensated at overtime rates, plus opportunities to participate in the on-call roster as needed. There is the occasional possibility of providing cover for Pharmacy Services in Thames or Tokoroa.Whether you are an experienced pharmacist or just starting your career, we offer ongoing training and mentorship to support your professional growth, with access to various opportunitiesincluding funding for further studies, courses, and conferences, as well as full funding for APC and professional membership fees. • The Te Whatu Ora Waikato Pharmacy Service provides essential pharmacy services to Waikato Hospital and rural hospitals, as well as tertiary advisory and support services to the Te Manawa Taki region. • Skills and experience youll need to be considered for the role :
• Essential
• Registration with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
• A current annual practising certificate with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
• New graduates welcome to apply!
• Desirable
• 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist.
• Hospital level clinical experience.
• Post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy.
• Current New Zealand drivers license.
• Working at Health New Zealand
