About the Role
As a Public Health Nurse, you will deliver public health nursing services across the community.
Public health nursing includes assessment of population health, attention to the multiple determinants of health, an emphasis on primary prevention, and continued commitment to best evidence-based public health nursing practice.
Part-time would be considered.
About the Team / Service / Location
Our public health nursing team is part of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, and works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures for all) by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga / wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.
We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
As a successful candidate, you will show and understand the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be skilled in applying its principles effectively in your role.
You build and maintain positive relationships at all levels and model an agile approach –try new approaches, learn quickly, and adapt fast.
You can utilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, critical thinking and professional judgement to provide competent care and advice while working to the top of scope.
