Restaurant Supervisor - Te Anau

Distinction Luxmore Hotel is looking for a motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to help lead our restaurant team and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.About Us : Located in the heart of Te Anau, Distinction Luxmore Hotel is part of the proudly New Zealand-owned Distinction Hotels Group.

We're dedicated to providing high-quality service in a relaxed, welcoming environment – all within one of New Zealand's most breathtaking regions.The Role : As Restaurant Supervisor, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of our busy in-house restaurants (Bailiez Café & Bar & Hilights Buffet Restaurant), ensuring our service is smooth, professional, and guest-focused.

You will be hands-on on the floor, leading by example and supporting the team during breakfast and dinner service.Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise and lead front-of-house staff during service.
• Ensure all guests receive outstanding, friendly and efficient service.
• Assist with staff training, rostering and performance management.
• Manage reservations and ensure proper table planning.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance.What We Are Looking For :
• Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or senior waitstaff role.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and lead a team in a busy environment.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of POS systems and food safety practices is an advantage.What We Offer :
