OverviewClassic Flyers NZ is a special location in the heart of the Bay.

With excellent centers including registered café and seminar spaces as well as an Air travel Museum, the team at Classic Flyers NZ are seeking a seasoned, determined Chef.

A seven day week operation means adaptable hours are called for to meet the needs of business.

You will be in charge of supporting our Kitchen Manager in the everyday procedure of our busy kitchen.

Ideally you will have a trade-qualified credential with a minimum of three years' experience in a comparable role and be capable of regularly generating top quality food for our coffee shop, corporate and big function events.About the function : It is necessary that you can show an understanding of day-to-day kitchen operations with outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), professionally recognised certification an advantage, preparation and cooking in all areas, stock control, buying, food handling and hygiene, and connecting with and supporting staff in various other divisions.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Kitchen Manager in the day-to-day operations of a busy kitchen.Prepare and cook across all areas of the kitchen to deliver high quality food for café, corporate and large events.Maintain stock control and assist with food buying and cost management.Ensure high standards of food handling, hygiene and safety.Communicate effectively with team members across divisions and provide support as needed.Demonstrate excellent time management and reliability.QualificationsTrade-qualified credentials with a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.Ability to regularly produce top quality food for café, corporate, and large function events.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Food handling and hygiene certification (an advantage).
