If you're a policy professional who wants to use your skills to strengthen health outcomes at MASH Trust, we'd love to hear from you.
Our organisation is guided by the principles of
Enabling Good Lives
and
Te Tiriti o Waitangi
This means our policies need to reflect choice, control, and participation for disabled people, and honour our obligations to Maori by embedding equity, partnership, and respect throughout our work.
You will help ensure these values are woven into our policy framework.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a structured review of the organisation's current policy suite.
Assess the ongoing need and relevance of existing policies.
Identify gaps, overlaps, and areas where consolidation or retirement is appropriate.
Update and draft policies to ensure clear, consistent, and fit-for-purpose documentation.
Recommend a refreshed and streamlined policy framework aligned with health sector standards and compliance requirements.
Engage with managers and staff to ensure policy language is person centred, practical and accessible.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in policy analysis, development, and review (health sector experience strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of compliance, risk, and governance requirements in the health environment.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, plain-English policy documents.
Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with stakeholders and balance operational and compliance needs.
Highly organised and able to deliver agreed outputs within tight time frames.
If you're an experienced policy professional who can bring clarity and consistency to our policies, we'd like to hear from you.
Applications for the above roles will be reviewed as they are received so the role may close earlier if the right applicant is found.
