About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the General Manager Finance leads, develops, and continuously improves Watercare’s core finance function. As a key member of the Finance senior leadership team and a trusted advisor to the Board and Executive, you will shape the financial future of one of Auckland’s most essential service providers. The role oversees $1.2 billion in revenue, $375 million in operational cost, $1 billion of capital investment, and $18 billion of assets.
You’ll lead a large, high‑impact team across corporate finance, treasury, risk financing, business performance, commercial decision‑making, financial control, management and project accounting, fixed asset management, supplier processing, and finance systems. You’ll also be instrumental in enabling the delivery of economic regulation requirements and supporting major transformation initiatives.
