In December
As part of the review, recommendations were made to support a positive and inclusive environment for its people resulting in the creation of the Eke Taumata Programme.
The Diversity and Inclusion Strategy was formed from one of these recommendations with a focus on undertaking a full review of the career firefighter recruitment lifecycle from attraction through to assessment and selection.
Reporting to the Programme Manager – Eke Taumata, the Recruitment Review Lead is responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to produce meaningful recommendations that enable a positive difference to remove barriers and biases with a focus on career firefighter recruitment and Communication Centre dispatcher recruitment processes.
The development of clear recommendations submitted to the Executive Leadership Team for their consideration will support change that strengthens the recruitment of appropriately skilled people from diverse backgrounds.
The approved recommendations will require implementation to align the recruitment processes to reflect the roles that these candidates are going to be recruited for.
This is a fixed term opportunity from ASAP through to 30 June
Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role :
You will be a natural people person with the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder engagement both internally and externally.
With a strong focus on facilitation and delivery, you will be comfortable developing and presenting an Executive level paper for the Executive Leadership team.
You will also demonstrate your experience in working with experts in their fields and be able to analyse and implement a range of fit-for-purpose recruitment practices by developing a workplan to turn recommendations into measurable outcomes.

The salary range for this role is $136,874 - $152,082 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
