The Role

As an Electrical Fitter / Electrician, you’ll be able to communicate confidently and have a great eye for detail. You will be a part of an experienced team to construct and maintain electrical equipment to customer requirements in a substation environment. This role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be based at our Rotorua Depot.

The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to :

• Carry out prescribed electrical work according to regulations
• Perform callouts and maintenance duties as a lone worker, with travel between 28 regional substations
• Inspecting, fault finding and defect elimination on HV and LV electrical equipment
• Accurate record-keeping and reporting of the works undertaken
• Identify potential issues and provide effective solutions to recover from setbacks
• Conduct job scoping and planning with accuracy
• Assist with repair and maintenance activities and identify potential problems and solutions to recover from any setbacks
