About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational and forward-thinking Service Manager to lead our Medicine Services a collaborative leader who champions innovation, inspires teams, and delivers meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve.
Reporting to the General Manager Division of Medicine, you will provide strong managerial leadership in close partnership with the Clinical Head and Clinical Leads of the service.
You will also collaborate closely with the Divisional Clinical Director, Clinical Nurse Director, and Associate Director of Allied Health to drive continuous improvement and strategic development of our services.
In this role, you will :
Lead, Inspire & Innovate Work closely with passionate Clinical Heads and senior leaders to drive performance and foster a values-based, high-performing service.Champion Equity Lead initiatives that address inequities and improve outcomes for Maori, Pacific, and underserved communities.Drive Strategic Change Influence service planning and contribute to the future design and delivery of perioperative and pain services.Build Culture Cultivate a culture rooted in kindness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Empower staff to thrive, grow, and find purpose in their work.Be Accountable and Responsible for all decisions and actions taken or made by the service leadership.About You
Youre an experienced healthcare leader who thrives in complex environments, leads with empathy, and knows how to turn vision into action.
Youll bring :
Relevant tertiary qualification in Clinical / Health or Business5 years management experience in a large, multifaceted healthcare environment including staff management, financial management and change managementStrong track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery.Good business writing skills- reports, proposals, business cases etc to a high standard.Ability to think strategically as well as operationally and plan service delivery.Experience in delivering change and performance with and through teams, by engaging them in the directions and delivery of plans, establishing clear work priorities, delegating effectively, ensuring capability to deliver, monitoring performance, and providing timely, regular feedback.Consultative leadership style whilst being clear on organisational and service objectives and goals.Ability to take and lead people on a journey of growth and change.Ability to build strong effective teams and networks.Excel at operating in a fast-pace, collaborative environment.
