Job Description
Agriculture Tutor
Location : Hamilton Central
Full-time | Permanent | NZMA Hamilton Campus
This is a full-time permanent role, with a target start date of February 2026.
About the role :
We are seeking to appoint a passionate Agriculture Tutor who will be responsible for delivering our Level 2 Agriculture programme, with a focus on Dairy Farming. You’ll guide learners through the course content (including practical hands‑on elements) and support their growth in essential industry knowledge and skills.
The successful candidate will teach students from diverse backgrounds, including youth, second‑chance learners, and those seeking employment in the agriculture / farming industries. You’ll provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment where learners are motivated to succeed and can see a clear pathway toward further study or employment.
While most of the course will be delivered on campus, there will be opportunities to expose students to practical aspects at local farm sites.
This role offers a unique opportunity to positively influence the next generation of agricultural professionals.

About you :
We are looking for passionate individuals with a strong background in dairy farming and has close ties to the local farms. Ideally, we are also seeking individuals with experience working with youth in alternative education or youth development sectors and who are aware of the unique challenges youth bring.
You Will Have The Following Skills / experience
If you have good experience working with youth and are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of the future generation but not necessarily teaching experience, we’d still love to hear from you!
