Matangi School is a semi-rural zoned primary school just minutes from Hamilton, providing a stimulating environment for Y1–6 students. Our vision isEmpowering Learners, Whakamana Aakonga. We are a close-knit and welcoming community that offers a supportive and stimulating environment where every child feels valued, challenged and inspired to grow.

We teach the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum framework, aiming to develop confident, actively-involved learners. We follow a restorative approach to behaviour management, focusing on understanding, repairing relationships and supporting positive growth.

Our grounds feature expansive grass areas, native planting zones promoting environmental awareness, a cycle track and an adventure playground that encourage physical activity and social interaction.
