New Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for preventing crime and enhancing community safety.

It works in partnership with individuals, communities, businesses, and other public sector agencies towards the vision of making New Zealand the safest country.

Police is the government's largest front-line response agency with around 15,000 staff in large and small communities all over New Zealand and in liaison and policing development roles overseas.

You will be joining the Safer People whanau that is made up of a variety of different workgroups these include our Wellness, Return to Work, Health Promotion, and Health and Safety.

The role aims to build strong partnerships internal and external to the safer people workgroup while helping to bridge strategy through data analysis.

Key Accountabilities :

Develop insights for our Senior Leaders and Executives

Evaluate and analyse data across the Safer People function

Develop and seek continuous improvements across all the products developed across Safer People.

Collaborate and support the Safer People leadership team with data.

Provide quality assurance to the data managed by Safer People.

Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours,your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others.

Significant experience in information analysis, preferably in wellness and safety analysis

Able to visualise and present data effectively to the targeted audience

Strong collaborative approach being people centric at the core of how they work

Data evaluation and analysis skills, including the use of Excel, Power BI and experience with programming and formula languages.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent commercial experience.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $95,057 and $100,626 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
