As Nutrizone Pharma Ltd continues to grow at a rapid pace, our Finance and Administration functions are expanding to support the wider business. We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented part‑time accountant to join our team in Pukekohe, Auckland.
This position is 20 hours per week, spread across 4–5 days, and is ideal for a trained accountant looking to work shorter hours. This role is 100% on site in Pukekohe. Pay rate will reflect experience.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processes, supporting compliance obligations, payroll, and maintaining the smooth financial operation of our company.
Job Description
This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the timely processing of financial activities, including but not limited to :
Financial Administration
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Enter and manage supplier invoices, statements, and payment runs
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up outstanding accounts
- Maintain organised and accurate financial records in line with audit requirements
Payroll & HR Support
Prepare and process weekly payroll for all staffMaintain employee payroll files and leave balancesEnsure compliance with NZ employment law, Holidays Act, and IRD obligationsProcess PAYE, KiwiSaver, deductions, and payroll reportingTax & Compliance
Prepare and lodge GST returns, ensuring accuracy and timelinessAssist with annual financial statements and end‑of‑year processesSupport external accountants and auditors with documentationEnsure compliance with all relevant financial policies, procedures, and regulationsGeneral Accounting Duties
Bank account reconciliations and cashflow monitoringAssist with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecastingSupport internal teams with financial queriesReview supplier contracts and pricing as neededProvide monthly financial summaries for managementIdentify cost efficiencies and recommend process improvementsAll other reasonable duties related to finance and administrationRequired Qualifications
A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessOn‑job accounting experience preferable however support will be providedExperience with payroll and GST / payroll complianceStrong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero preferred)Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracyStrong organisational and time‑management skillsAbility to work independently and uphold confidentialityClear communication skills, both written and verbalProactive problem‑solving ability and a positive attitudeA current criminal record check (Nutrizone will pay)Benefits
