We are
seeking
a skilled and motivated Senior Procurement Specialist to join our
Infrastructure Capital
team
in Auckland
This role is central to supporting the planning, sourcing, and management of best practice procurement across the
infrastructure delivery side of the
organisation. You will apply strategic methodologies, systems, and tools throughout the procurement lifecycle to ensure value for money and effective delivery of the National Land Transport Programme.
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, manage end-to-end procurement processes, and
provide
expert advice to internal stakeholders.
You'll
work closely with business owners to shape procurement requirements and support performance monitoring, and supplier engagement.

Our ideal candidate will have some or
all of
the following (but
don't
worry if you
don't
tick every box) :
Sound knowledge of Government Procurement Policy and Rules
, ideally within a complex public sector environment.
Strong understanding of procurement practices
, with construction, physical works or related professional services procurement experience preferred.
Experience in planning and managing a range of end-to-end sourcing processes, ideally using a variety of approach to market mechanisms
Sound commercial acumen, with good data and financial literacy.
Customer-focused, with w
ell-developed communication, influencing and relationship building skills.
Strong sense
of community and community engagement.
Personal resilience with the ability to work independently.
Qualifications :
Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience is preferred.
Working towards a CIPS (or similar) qualification is desirable.
