Overview

This role is ideal for a highly skilled 2D animator with a strong portfolio in fluid animation, seeking to contribute to a feature film project. The primary focus is animating a company logo and related imagery for a filmmaker’s first feature project. The initial task involves bringing a completed logo illustration to life with smooth, expressive motion. There is also a secondary opportunity to animate a sequence for a fictional commercial within the film, contingent on the success of the first deliverable. All work can be completed remotely, and the project offers creative freedom within the established visual direction.

Responsibilities

  • Animate a provided company logo and related imagery with a focus on fluid, high-quality 2D motion.
  • Collaborate with the filmmaker to ensure the animation aligns with the project’s tone and vision.
  • Prepare animation files in formats suitable for film editing and post-production.
  • Potential to animate a separate commercial sequence for inclusion in the feature film, pending approval of initial work.
  • Communicate progress and incorporate feedback in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in 2D animation, with a portfolio demonstrating fluid, expressive motion.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver polished, professional results.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines for a remote, project-based engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration.
  • Experience with logo animation and / or film-related projects is highly desirable.
  • Availability to start promptly and deliver within agreed timelines.
