What You Have To Do
Assist with egg collections (pick-ups) and embryo transfersSupport hysteroscopy procedures and coordinating pre / post carePerforming anaesthetic and sedation monitoring (light sedation and deeper sedation with anaesthetist present)Provide PACU and recovery care following proceduresPrepare and maintain sterile fields for proceduresEnsure patient safety, comfort, and emotional support during treatmentsSkills And Experience
Current NZ Nursing Council registration and APCPrevious theatre, PACU, or procedural nursing experience (essential)Experience with anaesthetic monitoring and light sedationExcellent teamwork and communication skillsA patient-focused approach with empathy and professionalismRNAA nurses (Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistants) are particularly well-suited for this role and tend to transition smoothly into the fertility environment.
