About The Role

What You Have To Do

  • Assist with egg collections (pick-ups) and embryo transfers
  • Support hysteroscopy procedures and coordinating pre / post care
  • Performing anaesthetic and sedation monitoring (light sedation and deeper sedation with anaesthetist present)
  • Provide PACU and recovery care following procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields for procedures
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and emotional support during treatments
  • Skills And Experience

  • Current NZ Nursing Council registration and APC
  • Previous theatre, PACU, or procedural nursing experience (essential)
  • Experience with anaesthetic monitoring and light sedation
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A patient-focused approach with empathy and professionalism
  • RNAA nurses (Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistants) are particularly well-suited for this role and tend to transition smoothly into the fertility environment.
