We are seeking a passionate and experienced person to join our "preschool with a heart". Our centre is small, homely, and well resourced with a role of 50 children including a separate nursery. We are committed to providing a values based environment where the team is committed, displays initiative, respectful and loyal to all. Trust is paramount because "caring is at the heart of what we do"

The job is 35-40 hours per week. You would oversee the curriculum throughout the nursery and preschool and day to day mentoring of the team. Leading and upholding the licensing criteria with an emphasis on working alongside the centre leader is vital. Providing a calm, stimulating and intentional learning environment is expected. Your time will be spent with tamariki, supporting Kaiako with documentation of learning and other key leadership responsibilities.

As a passionate and experienced leader you will wear many hats to allow you to manage an ever evolving environment and be adaptable to meet a variety of personalities and needs.

Do you have :

• experience with strong pedagogical knowledge with prior leadership.
• are warm and kind with an ability to build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, kaiako and our community
• the ability to be methodical with paper work so clear systems are in place for the team to establish ongoing and good practice with planning and evaluations.
• great time management
• passion for continuous professional growth
• a sense of fun and laughter
