What are you going to do?

As Sales Manager for CowManager in Southland, you engage with innovative dairy producers to strengthen existing relationships and develop new business opportunities.

You demonstrate how this advanced monitoring technology improves fertility, health, and nutritional outcomes while providing ongoing support to ensure farmers maximize value from their investment.

Tasks and responsibilities

Generate leads and acquire new customers through targeted outreach and demonstrations

Provide consultative sales advice on improving farm performance through technology adoption

Collaborate with regional advisors and support teams to ensure excellent customer experiences

Develop strong, long-term client relationships focused on added value and upselling opportunities

Track leads, opportunities, and sales progress using CRM tools

Share market insights with both local and global team members

Support farm setup and implementation processes

Travel throughout the Southland region to meet with current and prospective clients

Profile

You thrive on building relationships with farmers and possess excellent communication skills that allow you to explain technical concepts clearly.

Your consultative approach helps identify customer needs and demonstrate how technology addresses their challenges.

You work independently while maintaining strong connections with the broader team.

Job requirements

Proven commercial experience, preferably in agritech or dairy-related sales

Knowledge of dairy farming practices, particularly pasture-based systems

Confident presentation and demonstration abilities

Self-organizing with strong results orientation

Experience with CRM and digital tools

Based in New Zealand with valid work visa or residency

Ability to travel throughout the Southland region
