• About the Role
• Urology Canterbury is looking for an enthusiastic Registrar with a keeninterest in research to join our team. The role involves undertaking researchinto the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry (PCOR-NZ), and producingpublications and presentations aligned to this data. You will be supported to utilisebiostatics and other relevant educational opportunities aligned to PCOR-NZ.Related travel to appropriate meeting to gather further information, networkand present your findings will be funded. You will coordinate the Urologydepartment research activities including Urology Registrars' projects,presentations, and publications. You will attend regular Urology clinical meetings,while remaining non-clinical. Clinical observations of Prostate Cancer relatedpatient activities may be available. Progressingfunding opportunities for continuation of Research Registrar opportunities in Urologyover the two years is also expected. Two monthly progress and activityreporting will be required.This role is a fixed term full time role and is suitable for a Registrarstudying for Master of Medical Science, or PhD at Otago University. Supervisionfrom University of Otago Academics, Consultant Urologists and Public Health canbe provided as needed.

• You will have completed your
• first two post graduate years
• (PGY3+)
• Knowledge and commitment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how the principles can be applied to health.
• A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset, both to assist Māori and minority groups.
• You must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
