What you''ll be doing
Tower is transforming the Digital and Data landscape for Insurance in NZ and the Pacific.
We are looking for a talented Sr Business Analyst in one of our cornerstone projects in customer data. Your deep expertise in data analysis and any background in insurance will be invaluable for this role.
We are looking for a self-starter who will challenge the status-quo, examine the logic and reasoning and brainstorm and collaborate with stakeholders to define the business needs and requirements.
We are an Agile organization and will want our ideal candidate to have a background in Agile ways of working.
You can expect to be across the following :
- Providing advice related to any aspect of business analysis
- Mentoring and developing Junior BAs and contribute to the Practice Capability
- Embrace agility and Lean thinking to deliver value early to customers.
- Improve and reimagine business processes
- Work towards a new normal by leading the requirements analysis and challenging comfort zones.
- Collaborate with squad members and other stakeholders to understand strategic imperatives and break them into actionable initiatives.
- Actively collaborate with the design team to understand our customers and their challenges.
- Using data analytics to better understand our customers to build better solutions.
- Understanding technology to enable new ways of working and new capabilities for Tower.
- Embrace customer journey view of delivery to plan, prioritise, and break up a quarter''s deliverables into Epics and stories.
- Own workshops and refinement sessions : to discover customers' requirements and organise pre-refinement and refinement sessions to progress user stories and requirements
- Share knowledge and expertise with the Tower staff : Your expertise and knowledge should benefit Tower delivery team (BAs, Engineers and QA)
What you''ll need
To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following :
At least 8 years'' industry prior experience in Information Technology & IT and preferably in the insurance industryHave a 'customer first mind-set' and a bias for getting things doneCatalyst for innovation - you must think beyond a project or program, to a wider more seamless application of ideas and values.You shall be able to facilitate and promote collaboration between designers and the technical team members to come up with a feasible solution without dictating what the customer experience or technical implementation should be. (Confluence, Jira and Miro are primary tools used for collaboration at Tower)Ownership of user stories / requirements - The Senior BA should not be the person who dictates design, customer experience, copy, technical solution or test approach, but they own the process of pulling all those elements together into a cohesive story that can be executed by the development team and tested by the QA team at Tower.Our commitment
