Job Description

The Senior Manager provides high-level administrative support to the Vice Dean of Research and contributes to advancing our School's position as a leading hub for computing research. You will play a critical role in the strategic planning and implementation of processes that enhance and support research. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance research visibility.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for coordinating, preparing, and submitting research proposals, agreements, and project reports to partners and funding bodies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of administrators, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, laws, and ethical standards in research practices.
  • Collaborate with project leads to support resource planning and ensure effective allocation of personnel and funding.
  • Cultivate partnerships with funding agencies, industry, and other stakeholders to expand access and reach.
  • Coordinate and organize strategic initiative meetings, and offsite workshops, including scheduling, logistics, agenda development, note-taking, and follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with prior experience in executive or academic administration.
  • Strong understanding of university governance, organizational structure and current trends in higher education.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or S / 4HANA, Microsoft Office applications, and data visualization tools.
