Senior Health Clinician - Prevention & Response to Violence, Abuse & Neglect (PARVAN) Counsellor - 5-10k Incentives Offered

Employment Type : Permanent Full Time / Job Share Considered

Position Classification : Welfare Officer Level 3; Counsellor Level 3; Social Worker Level 3; Psychologist; Clinical Psychologist

Remuneration : $80,452.32 - $138,482.24 per annum (superannuation + salary packaging options) + NSW Health Incentives (conditions apply).

Location : Dubbo or negotiable across Northern NSW LHD, NSW.

Hours Per Week : 38

About the role

At Western NSW LHD this role enables you to bring your purpose to life, broaden your scope and fast track your career. As a Senior Health Clinician - PARVAN, you will be integral to achieving our goal of healthier rural people and thriving communities.

In this role, you will provide trauma‑informed therapeutic services to children, young people, adults and families who have experienced physical abuse, emotional abuse and / or neglect and have experienced or been exposed to domestic and family violence.

The role is supported by a dynamic team of dedicated clinicians including the PARVAN Senior Clinical Lead and the network of PARVAN clinicians. This role has access to ongoing training, individual and group clinical supervision and support.

Negotiable across Dubbo and Northern NSW, including Bourke, Cobar, Nyngan, Warren, Coonamble, Coonabarabran and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver trauma‑informed therapy to children, young people, adults and families experiencing abuse and neglect.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Lead, NAV, and other multidisciplinary clinicians.
  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision and support.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in case review as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered in a relevant health discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or equivalent).
  • Experience in child and family services, and domestic & family violence support.
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice and child protection systems.
  • Strong communication, assessment and intervention skills.
