Arohena School is seeking an experienced, skilled and committed kaiako to undertake the important role of in school learning support coordinator (LSC).
Summary of key responsibilities :
- Identify and understand learners’ needs, providing timely and culturally responsive support to help them thrive and succeed in all areas of school life
- Build staff capability to better meet learner needs and strengthen links with early learning services
- Encourage and support parents and whānau to partner with the school and understand learning support processes and contacts
- Access and coordinate relevant services and resources to support learners effectively
- Collaborate and influence others to ensure every learner receives the appropriate support to enhance learning and progress.
- Use of data and evidence : Capability in analysing and applying data to inform planning and reporting on learning support needs.
- Bicultural knowledge and practice : Understanding and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi within New Zealand school contexts.
