We are seeking a passionate teacher of English to join our wharekura staff here at Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Taumarunui, located in the heart of the King Country.

We are a full immersion kura aho matua, and we immerse our students and staff in the ethos that is Te Aho Matua.

We would expect that our English teacher would also embrace Te Aho Matua, despite the role being solely for the teaching of English in Y9–13.

The teacher who applies should be willing to be flexible to work in our unique teaching and learning environment.

Responsibilities

Teach English to students in Years 9–13.

Embrace and integrate Te Aho Matua in teaching.

Qualifications

Certificated teacher.
