Our staff are expected to take an active role in supporting the co-curricular programme of the school, by coaching or managing teams and groups.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate social sciences teacher to join our dynamic and motivated team.

Ideal applicants demonstrate strong subject expertise in commerce and junior social studies, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to engaging students in critical thinking and real-world understanding.

Experience in teaching towards NCEA and / or CAIE is an advantage but not a requirement of appointment.

Responsibilities

Deliver social sciences and commerce instruction to students in Years 7–15 / wharekura, aligning with NCEA and Cambridge expectations where appropriate.

Contribute to a large co-curricular programme by coaching or managing teams and groups.

Engage students in critical thinking and real-world understanding through high-quality teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications

Strong subject expertise in commerce and junior social studies.

Excellent communication skills.

Commitment to student engagement and character development.

Experience teaching towards NCEA and / or CAIE is an advantage but not required.
