Class 2 Skip Truck Driver / Operator

About the Role

Taranaki Skips and Bins operate skip trucks serving customers throughout the Taranaki region. The company prides itself in providing excellent service with staff going above and beyond and ensuring that customers’ needs and requirements are always met. We have a dedicated team that works extremely well together and are looking for another driver / operator to join this target driven team. The successful candidate will compliment and support the skills of the other team members.

The position offers variety and multi tasks rather than just driving. The appointee will work as part of a committed team ensuring the success of the business and building on the customer base. The role, as well as truck driving, could include helping with the maintenance of the skip bins and other assets and assist the manager in promoting the business to new clients. This is a challenging role where every day is different with operations over five days a week. This is a casual part time role with variable hours depending on demand, with possibility of a permanent role in the future.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

Ideally you should be a driver with skip truck driving experience and a good track record. You should :

• Have a Class 2 Truck License (a Class 4 License would be an added advantage)
• Have a Good Attitude and be a Team player
• Follow all Health and Safety regulations
• Be professional and courteous to customers and be willing to assist customers should the opportunity arise
• Have great people skills in dealing with customers
• Follow instructions so that the customer always has priority
• Be able to work independently and also as part of the team
• Have a character beyond reproach – being trustworthy, reliable and honest in all your interactions.
